Consultation Cohort

An emdr community to learn, grow, & experiment together

The Consultation Cohort is a multi-month learning journey to grow your EMDR confidence & find community with like-minded therapists.

Monthly cohort experience:

Our EMDR cohorts meet monthly for 2-hour Zoom sessions, focusing on case consultation and specialized learning areas such as IFS-informed EMDR or EMDR for religious/spiritual trauma. Between sessions, members engage through a shared Google Classroom and Drive, fostering continuous learning and resource sharing.

Learning Philosophy:

I believe in applying EMDR's adaptive learning principles to consultation. My approach emphasizes:

  • Consistent, supportive community learning

  • Collaborative, shame-free teaching methods

  • Balancing standard EMDR protocols with specialized techniques

  • Encouraging experimentation to build confidence with diverse client needs

My goal is to help you master the 8-phase EMDR protocol while developing skills tailored to your specific practice niche. This supportive environment allows you to grow and adapt EMDR techniques to a wide range of client situations

Consultation Cohort Details:

  • Completion of EMDR Basic Training (including the 10 Basic Training Consultation Hours) is required to participate in a Consultation Cohort.

    For my IFS-informed EMDR Cohorts, I recommend some background in IFS Theory & Practice. SYZYGY Courses provide a great foundation in IFS-informed EMDR.

  • EMDRIA requires at least 20 hours of consultation post Basic Training to become a Certified EMDR Therapist. 10 of those hours can come from group consultation and 10 must be individual consultation hours. Your Cohort time you spend listening to colleagues can count towards group hours & time you spend presenting your cases can count towards your individual hours.

  • The cost of group consultation in the cohort is $50/hour ($500 for a 10 hour cohort, $600 for a 12 hour cohort, $700 for a 14 hour cohort) and can be paid in full or with a 5-installment payment plan.

    Individual consultation hour packages with Liz may be purchased at a discounted rate for members of the cohort ($750 for 5 hours, $1100 for 8 hours & $1400 for 10 hours).

    Scholarships are available to clinicians who work in CMH, OVC-funded programs, and/or are recipients of EMDRIA's RESI Award. Please reach out if you meet one of these criteria.
